Year working: 1856 - 1927
I noted four Autocar front covers in the period 1922 23 all were just initialled RCW. They were obviosly by a quality artist. After research it would seem they are by Caton Woodville. One of the distinguishing features is the flourish to the tail of the 'R'. Caton Woodville was a very prolific war time and battle scene artist doing work for the Illustrated London News magazine. It is not surprising that we see some motoring work by this artist.
