Year working: 1856 - 1924
Thanks to Paul Pennell for drawing my attention to the motoring work of Alfred Strutt. Strutt was born in New Zealand but spent most of his life in the UK. He painted oil on canvas of some early motoring scenes just after the turn of the century. These were reproduced as coloured lithographs sometimes with the addition of white gouache highlighting. In addition he was a noted sporting and equestrian artist often exhibiting at the Royal Academy. Thanks to Paul for also supplying the images..
