Year working: 1857 - 1926
Louis Rhead was british born and a member of the Rhead family famous for their pottery work in Staffordshire. He is best known for his work in the USA.. Initially he worked at the potteries but also for the publishers Cassell & Co. Fuller details are given in the reference below but in 1883 he moved to New York where he became a well known poster and book illustrator.
