Probably best known for his Eagle comic cutaway art but also was a was a book illustrator. During the War he worked for the Air Ministry where he produced details and cutaways of German aircraft. For this work he was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM). After the War he contributed 39 cutaways to the Eagle, several of them being motor vehicles like the Allard illustrated. Others seen are Austin Healey 100 in 1953 and Aston Martin DB3 in 1956.
