Phil Meigh became a cartoonist after war service. He started selling cartoons to popular publications of the time. He developed two cartoon strips for Swift 'Hopeful Harry' and 'Fanciful Freddie'. He worked for Punch over a 25 year period and newspapers such as The Times, Daily Sketch and Daily Mirror. He obviously worked for The Autocar evidenced by these five humorous drawings from 1967, these were used as 'Leader Headings'.
