Famous poster artist who worked for Shell including some superb designs incorporating racing cars. For one of the best examples see Lot 486 Onslow's sale 31st March 1999. Born originally in the USA he came to England via Paris in 1914. He designed theatre works, interiors, textiles, book illustrations and posters. He returned to the USA in 1940.
