Halliwell Albert Edward

Year working: 1905 - 1997

On the 11th April 2022 there was a sale at the canterbury Auction Galleries of the archive collection of Albert Edward Halliwell. The dates given of 1905 - 1997 are not certain the birth date of 1905 is probably correct. The archive was a tremendous collection of original 1920/1930's advertising and was broken up into nearly 300 lots in the sale. Just by the large spread of work it included several images of transport related studies including two London Motor Show poster designs, principally advising people to use the London Underground. He cannot be described as a motoring artist but should be included in my listing because of the overlap and the sheer quality of his output.
