Giles Ronald (CARL)

Year working: 1916 – 1995

The famous cartoonist who worked for The Daily Expr ess newspaper, making his debut in October 1943. He was an amateur racing driver, driving his XK 120 and a keen observer of motoring events. The above cartoon is an illustration from the menu of the BRDC Annual Dinner for 1949. Giles was a member of the BRDC in the 40’s and 50’s.
