Probably best known for his marine paintings. He was born in the Midlands but moved to London where he worked for Carlton studios alongside such artists as Frank Wootton. Poster and sales brochure artwork for Triumph TR2 & TR3, Sunbeam, Hillman, Humber, Singer, MG, Austin and Morris. Style is very much that of George Bishop and Frank Wootton. In 1956 he returned to live in the Midlands where he continued with transport and general advertising art. In the 1980's he completed many architectural perspective drawings for buildings for leading architects. In later life concentrated more on yacht paintings commissioned by many leading boat builders.
